Tanzania has more then a 1000km of coastline. The coast region and the Islands that face it form a varied region rich in treasures both of human and natural origins; Not only the famous white sand beaches and aquamarine waters of the Indian Ocean, but a myriad of attractions such national parks and reserves, tropical forests, translucent lagoons and magnificent estuaries. It is the home to some of the oldest communities on the East African coast and as such right at the heart of colorful and interesting Swahili culture.
